What to expect?
A consultation will be had prior to the treatment to deduce the best path for the clients skin needs under the discretion of the professional.
At the time of the application of the peel, the appropriate acid (AHA, BHA, etc) will be applied to lower the PH in the skin, which will loosen the connection of dead skin cells, while also stimulating new cell growth which facilitates a deep level of exfoliation. This process reveals a smoother and radiant complexion.
For the following 3-5 days, skin will be photosensitive and may feel tighter or more sensitive than normal. It is very important to wear SPF and protect your skin from the sun at this time. There is no down time, or intensive “peeling” of the skin following the procedure, as skin exfoliates on a cellular, microscopic level, though you may notice some light macroscopic peeling as everybody is unique.
Home care products and clean sunscreens work synchronistically with professional treatments to reinforce their efficacy.
